Concrete Is Porous. That Changes How You Clean It.
Arizona concrete soaks up whatever lands on it: engine oil, sprinkler rust, fertilizer, monsoon mud and years of fine dust. Cold water and a rental wand move the top layer around and leave stripes. We start by identifying what each stain is, pre-treat it with the matching eco-friendly chemistry, then clean with commercial-grade hot water so grease releases instead of spreading. The result is an even, uniform surface from the garage to the curb.

Cool deck and other textured pool-deck coatings need lower pressure than plain concrete so the texture stays intact. We adjust pressure and chemistry for coated surfaces and rinse thoroughly around the pool.

Concrete Cleaning Questions
Straight answers on concrete, stains and cool deck from a local, owner-run crew.
Will the oil stains on my driveway come out completely?
Often, but not always. Fresh drips usually lift fully with degreaser and hot water. Oil that has soaked into the concrete for years can lighten a lot without disappearing, because some of it sits below the surface. We look at each stain before we start and tell you what to expect.
- Fresh oil: usually lifts fully
- Old, soaked-in oil: lightens, may leave a shadow
Can you remove rust stains from sprinklers or fertilizer?
Rust from irrigation water and fertilizer granules needs a rust-specific treatment. Pressure alone will not move it. Most orange sprinkler staining improves dramatically. Deep or very old rust can lighten rather than vanish, and we will say so up front.
- Rust-specific treatment, not just pressure
- Honest assessment before we start
Do you clean cool deck around pools?
Yes. Cool deck and similar textured coatings are cleaned at lower pressure than bare concrete so the texture is not damaged. Cleaning removes dirt, algae and staining, but it will not repair cracks or coating that is already failing. If we see that, we will point it out.
- Lower pressure to protect the texture
- Cleaning does not fix cracked or failing coating
Will pressure washing damage my concrete?
Not when the pressure matches the surface. We clean flatwork with a rotating surface cleaner that spreads pressure evenly, and use lower pressure on coated, stamped or decorative concrete. Damage usually comes from holding a narrow wand tip too close, which we do not do.
- Even pressure from a rotating surface cleaner
- Lower settings on coated and decorative concrete
How often should East Valley concrete be cleaned?
Most homes do well with a cleaning once or twice a year. Driveways with leaking vehicles, shaded slabs and anything near irrigation gets dirty faster. Our Exterior Care Plan brings us back monthly, every other month or quarterly, with 50% off add-on services.
- Once or twice a year for most homes
- Care Plan: monthly, every other month or quarterly
Are your cleaning products safe for plants, pets and pools?
We use eco-friendly chemicals, pre-wet nearby plants and rinse thoroughly when we finish. Keep pets inside while we work. Once the surface is rinsed and dry, the yard is ready to use again.
- Eco-friendly chemicals, thorough rinse
- Keep pets inside until the job is done
